Processor Overheating
People often complain that their processor often gets overheated. Many of them think th
at switching on PC for long hours do cause overheating of processor which is absolutely incorrect for processors used nowadays. In fact, even if your PC is switched on the whole day, and if it’s not under stress, the processor will not overheat. It is normal for almost all the processors used today. However when a user is playing 3-D games that stress the processor, it tends to heat up.
The reason for overheating may be due to the CPU fan not working properly or the CPU and heat sink not making proper contact thereby hindering maximum heat dissipation. Moreover if the cabinet is properly ventilated it can also contribute to overheating. In order to remedy the problem, one should check whether the CPU fan is rotating and not being blocked. It is advisable to remove the heat sink fan unit and the processor, clean it, apply a fresh, thin and uniform oat of heat sink compound on the surfaces of the processor and the heat sink that come in contact with each other and then re-assemble them. This should eliminate the cause of the overheating.

Spam!!! Now with image-link
Conventionally, spam is known for flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most spam is commercial advertising, often for dubious products, get-rich-quick schemes etc. In spite of the most advanced security software employed by companies today, spammers have come up with a new methodology to attack networks. This works by linking spam with images that can cause both mailboxes and networks to get jammed.
Unlike conventional image spamming, ‘image-link spam’ adopts an innovative route to create a link to the image with URL in the message. This method is gaining popularity in the spammer community and among the cyber miscreants. It is emerging very fast as a grave security threat to the web users since april 2007 and constitutes of 4% of the spam volume worldwide.
In order to combat this problem in real time, IronPort Systems, a provider of anti-spams, anti-virus and anti-spyware for businesses has evolved a senderBase network. The network assigns a score to every URL in a message based on its likelyhood to send spams. This web reputation score is then combined with other message information and rule hits to determine the overall IPAS score of a message, thereby blocking any emails containing image-links spams.

Internet Explorer’s default search features are anemic at best. Internet searching can be made better by installing a Google Toolbar and other specialized search toolbars and powering up the default search. Internet Explorer’s default search feature leaves a lot to be desired. But there’s a lot you can do for better Internet searching from your desktop. You can get search toolbars that integrate into your browser, and you can customize the Internet Explorer search feature as well.
The best way to empower Internet searches is to install special toolbars from two popular search engines, Google and Ask Jeeves. The Google Toolbar is the better of the two, and not only because it’s a better search engine. It also has several extra features. The great thing about the Google Toolbar is, well, that it’s Google. It avails you all of Google’s functionality without even visiting the site. Just install it and type your search term in the toolbar and you are done. In fact, you even get an extra on the toolbar that you don’t get on Google itself—the PageRank feature that tells you how popular the current site you’re visiting is.The best of the Google Toolbar’s best features is that it lets you do a Google search through the site you’re currently on, a particularly useful tool if the site doesn’t have a search box, or if the search on the site is a poor one. If you’re concerned about your privacy, you should disable the PageRank option. When you enable this option, the Google Toolbar tracks the page you’re on.
